I left my previous job feeling completely burnt out, uninspired, and mildly terrified to ever put myself in a UX position at any company ever again. There was just so much complexity, which led to frustration, which led to animosity within my team and company. I lucked out that my next big "design experience" was the masterclass, because it was a complete 180 degree vibe switch. It was like therapy for my career. Not only did the community feel supportive and inspiring, but the course content was pure gold. All throughout the course I was reflecting back to my last project and just how much having OOUX in my toolkit would have saved us so much hardship. But it's alright, you live and you learn...and at the end of the day, NOW I have OOUX. Now, I feel capable to put myself out there and trying again. Not only that, but I feel like I could realistically make a significant impact, daily, using this design philosophy, and that prospect excites me so much.
